Alzheimer's Priority Quilt

The Blanketeer's have committed to the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative for 2012.  These quilts are only 9"x12". My goal is to make one per month.  Here's my first attempt:
The quilt isn't finished yet, this is just the unembellished background.  It's going to be a clothesline quilt.
Chris knit three tiny afghans for me that will swing from the clothesline.  If it turns out cute I may use the clothesline theme again.

That's a great idea Susan. The person buying it will have a lovely treasure and be supporting a great cause.

What a wonderful idea.
Your design sounds very cute:) Lookiing forward to watching your progress.
Thanks for supporting such a great cause. My grandmother had Alzheimer's and my step father has it now and it is progressing quite quickly. Very sad condition.

I love the clothesline theme, especially that little dogging tugging at the afghan, very cute!
OOo you could do birdies sitting on one clothesline and a little kitty kat looking up from the ground!

Thank you so much for sharing information about the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative! I lost my Dad to Alzheimer’s in December of 2010 and have been committed to raising money for research through AAQI since he was diagnosed in 2006. I am a quilter and I love that the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative is a grass roots organization that is totally staffed by volunteers so that every available dollar can be used to fund research. I love your little quilts and am thrilled that your guild has taken up our cause!
